The People Who Text

Studies show that 75% of kids and teens from the age group of 12-17 own a cell phone. This just goes to show how many kids are out there driving, and can easily get in an accident if they are distracted behind the wheel. People went around asking these teens if they were guilty of texting and driving. 34% of teens admit to the crime, and another 48% said they were in a car while the driver was texting and driving.

Of these 34% who admit to it, they say they have techniques that prevent them from getting in accidents. One teenager said that he texts while he is at the red light, or giving their phone to their friend so they can text for them. Others say that they hold the phone up near the windshield, so if they do see something about to happen in front of them, they will see it before it happens.

So, be honest, do you text and drive?
